Research

Research that turns into product and deal decisions.

Two angles of the same capability: due diligence on investments, and market and competitive research for clients.

Context 1 · Investment due diligence (Icetea / Red Kite)
Context

Projects entering the pipeline needed objective evaluation before backing.

Approach

End-to-end due diligence covering product, fundraising status, community metrics, GTM, and listing roadmap.

Result

Market and competitive-analysis reports delivered to guide investment decisions.

Context 2 · Market and competitive research (Buddy Trading)
Context

Buddy Trading needed a clear direction for its B2B service: which model to build first, and how to evolve it over time.

Approach

I researched providers running similar services, starting with Competition-as-a-Service platforms and then quest-campaign models built around trading activity. I analyzed each across feature scope, pricing model, mechanics, customer segment, and positioning to find where an opening existed.

Result

The analysis surfaced a clear gap. Existing Competition-as-a-Service players drove trading only through manual trades or platform-supplied bots, with none encouraging users to create and run their own bots at scale. That insight shaped the initial direction and then guided the pivot to a quest-campaign model, grounded in Buddy Trading's own capabilities.

From signal to roadmap input

Beyond single projects, this is a repeatable capability: turning research into product and deal decisions. One example: synthesizing emerging market trends into product-roadmap input for Offering.fund.

Open to new roles where partnerships and research drive growth.
